BULK GASKETS MATERIALS
Fives North American Combustion, Inc. can provide most of the gasket materials we use in our burner assemblies in bulk quantities. This is convenient when reassembling equipment that has been taken apart for inspection or repairs. The materials in this sheet are ordered by the linear foot, or in the case of ceramic paper, in square feet.
JOINT SEALING CORD Order in linear feet
Joint sealing cord made from ePTFE is used to make gaskets for fit many flanged surfaces. It's main advantage is it can be used to make a gasket for a flange in place of a sheet gasket which must be cut out to match the flanges profile.
The cord is supplied with an adhesive backer to aid in the product installation. Before installing the cord, clean any dirt or loose material off the flange surface. Then peel back the backing strip and place the cord on the surface of the flange. It's best to overlap the cord at a bolt hole so that the maximum force is at the seam. See the manufactures instructions for more details.
