ALTERNATE CONFIGURATIONS
Regenerator and burner configurations are available to allow "remote" mounting of the regenerators where furnace layout or duty dictate an alternate to the standard "close coupled, burner-over-regenerator" arrangement. Remote Regenerators - The standard regenerator may be installed remotely. The inverted regenerator configuration puts regenerator above burner.
Custom transition sections can be furnished to increase the distance from the burner to the regenerator below, or the the inverted outlet/inlet configuration mounted above. The regenerator installation must be designed to accommodate the regenerator weight, access to the regenerator for bed clean- ing, and ventilation to prevent excessive heat buildup. Steel Mill reheat furnace with TwinBed ® II burners on the furnace side and regenerators on the furnace roof.
A tilting aluminum melter with remote regenerators has TwinBed ® II burners angled down to direct heat onto the charge for rapid melting.
