Day 1: Arrive Budapest On arrival, there are complimentary transfers to your hotel. Join your Travel Director for your Welcome Dinner, which is a treat of mouthwatering Hungarian specialties. (D) Corinthia Hotel Budapest (2 nights) Day 2: Budapest Stroll through the alleys of the Old Town of Buda. Admire the facade of Matthias Church and take a short drive following the Danube to Gellért Hill. From the top, appreciate astounding panoramic views presided over by the Liberty Statue. Visit Heroes’ Square in Pest before taking some free time to shop or relax. (B) Day 3: Budapest - Krakow Take a gentle drive into Slovakia and through the Low Tatra Mountains. Stop at Donovaly, often referred to as the Slovakian St. Moritz. Continue north to see the picturesque Oravský Hrad Castle before crossing into Poland and continuing to historic Krakow. (BD) Mercure Krakow Stare Miasto (2 nights) Day 4: Krakow After a relaxed start, you may choose to visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine. Later, join your Local Expert to explore Krakow, with highlights including the cathedral on Wawel Hill, St Mary’s Church and Europe’s largest and most beautiful town square. (B) Day 5: Krakow - Warsaw Stop with a Local Expert at Oswiecim, better known throughout the world by its German name, Auschwitz, the infamous site of the Holocaust. Continue across the Polish plains to the country’s capital, Warsaw, where a delicious dinner in the Old Town awaits. (BD) Sheraton Warsaw Hotel (2 nights) Day 6: Warsaw Join a Local Expert in the morning to see the Old Town, Royal Castle, Palace of Culture and visit the Chopin Memorial in the Łazienki Park. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure. (B) Day 7: Warsaw - Wielkopolska - Berlin Your route leads westwards, across the rolling farmlands of the central plains, past Poznan known as the ‘Cradle of the Polish State’ and over the Oder River into Germany. Arrive into vibrant Berlin where you can try traditional Berliner cuisine. (B) Steigenberger Hotel Berlin (2 nights)

Day 8: Berlin Join a Local Expert for a drive along the Ku’Damm, past the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. Continue through the leafy Tiergarten to the refurbished Reichstag building and see the Brandenburg Gate. Spend the afternoon at leisure, shopping in the KaDeWe Department Store or exploring the new, vibrant Potsdamer Platz. (B) Day 9: Berlin - Dresden - Prague Journey south to Dresden. Almost totally destroyed by horrific air raids in 1945, Dresden has now risen again from the ashes in a blend of old and new. After free time for lunch, head for the Czech border, high in the Ore Mountains and continue to the capital city of Prague. (BD) Lindner Hotel Prague Castle (2 nights) Day 10: Prague Prague has blossomed since the Velvet Revolution, but its unique character remains unchanged. A Local Expert will show you the amazing St. Vitus’ Cathedral inside the 1,000-year-old Prague Castle and the famous Astronomical Clock. (B) Day 11: Prague - Cesky Krumlov A journey through the Bohemian countryside will bring you to Ceské Budejovice with a visit to a local brewery for beer tasting. Continue on to Cesky Krumlov, a picturesque medieval town nestled on the banks of the Vltava. Enjoy a Dine-Around Evening with a selection of restaurants to choose from. (BD) Hotel Ruže Day 12: Cesky Krumlov - Vienna Cross the border into Austria and enjoy a delightful journey to Vienna. The afternoon is free for you to explore this stately capital and later why not enjoy a delightful Austrian meal with an option to dine at a country mansion? (B) Hilton Vienna (2 nights) Day 13: Vienna Vienna owes much of its present-day charm to the long reign of the Habsburgs. Join your Local Expert for a private visit of Maria Theresa’s Schönbrunn Palace and its formal gardens. As night falls, experience an extraordinary concert of Viennese classical music combined with a delicious meal of traditional Austrian fare. (BD) Day 14: Depart Vienna Transfer to Vienna airport for your return flight home. (B)
