Earth Day Events Join us in celebrating Earth Day with these FREE events and workshops! Rainwater Harvesting Saturday, April 19 10:00-11:30 am Reducing Food Waste Saturday, April 19 1:00-2:00 pm
Join us to learn about rainwater harvesting, tips and tricks for success, and take home your own rain barrel. Delivery is not available, you must be able to take your barrel home. -Barrel dimensions approximately 26” wide, 34” tall, 16lbs.
Learn how to maximize your food through proper storage, label reading and innovative recipes. All participants will receive a take-home kit from the City of Burien that will help with reducing wasted food, including a food storage guide.
Rainwater Harvesting & Reducing Food Waste workshops will be held at the Burien Community Center, 14700 6th Ave SW. Both events are FREE and open to all. All-ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Workshops are provided by the City of Burien in collaboration with King County Waste Reduction and Reuse grant and WA Dept of Ecology WRRED grant.

Ultimate is a non-contact, action-packed sport played with a flying disc where players pass the disc from one player to the next until someone catches it in the opponent’s end zone for a goal. A one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $30 / RD $25 is required prior to registering for individual camp weeks. Camp registrations are accepted up until the Monday of the requested week,as space allows. The first two weeks of camp that you register for, must be paid in full at the time of enrollment. Scholarship approval is required prior to registration. Space is limited to 60 campers per week for camp CRAZ, and 36 campers for Teen Summer Crew.

Each week will be packed with fun activities like art projects, games, and swimming at the pool! Campers can sign up for one week or spend all summer with us. Each camper will receive a camp shirt. Scheduled Payments
If you are registering for 3 of more weeks of camp and are not able to pay for your child’s registration in full, you can schedule your camp payments. Each week of camp requires a $20 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit, per participant at the time of registration. This deposit is applied towards the total amount due for each week. The balance of your weekly camp fee will be automatically processed on the Monday before the start of the enrolled week.

Inclusion As with all programs Burien Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services provides, Specialized Recreation programs are inclusive for anyone interested in participating in these classes. Behavior Policy In order to provide a successful experience for all participants, please note the following: Participants must be able to function in a group environment with limited supervision. If closer supervision is needed, a caregiver or chaperone is welcome to accompany the participant at no cost. If there is an admission fee into a venue, the caregiver/chaperone would need to pay the admission cost. Unacceptable behaviors include, but aren’t limited to, self-abuse, physical or verbal abuse towards others, violent behaviors, profanity, and constant unwillingness to participate in activities. Non-compliance may result in the requirement of caregiver accompaniment or possible dismissal from activities.
