In this workshop we will cover effective communicating and responding to dementia-related behaviors. -Communicating Effectively: This section covers how dementia impacts communication and provides helpful tips for interacting with family, friends, and healthcare professionals. -Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors: This section explains common behavioral changes in individuals with dementia, how these behaviors serve as a form of communication, non-medical strategies for managing these behaviors, and how to recognize when further assistance is required.
