SUMMER SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS Now that Biola has more than four hundred students matriculating during the winter months, we believe it is time to launch a Biola Summer School. Two general groups of students desir ing Bible Institute credit will find their need met by this plan. This Summer School is for you who cannot be with us in the winter but who long for the opportunity to study God’s Word at Biola. Spend your summer vacation with us, and continue with your regular work during the re mainder of the year. God may use such an experience as this to reveal His life plan for you. Also, Biola Winter School student, this Summer Cruise is for you. You may earn eight credits during July and August and still have four weeks in which to carry out other plans. Why mark time during the summer months ? Why not keep busy in preparation ? “ Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” CLASSES AND CREDITS Most of the classes in the Summer School will meet two hours a day, four days a week, for which the student re ceives, upon satisfactory completion of the work, two “ semester hours” of credit for each subject chosen. De pending upon the subjects selected, persons in attendance may earn four or five credits during either July or August, thus receiving eight or ten credits for work completed during the two months. These credits will apply, unit for unit, on those required for graduation in the Collegiate, Christian Education, or General courses of Biola. EXPENSES Expenses are in keeping with our winter schedule, there being no tui tion charge. The registration fee is $10.00 per term. Room and board in the Biola dormi tory costs $37.00 per summer term of four weeks. Vacation and study a month for $50.00.

SUMMER SCHOOL FOR PASTORS Yes, through the years you have read, studied, listened, and traveled with an aim in mind. Yours has been a desire to profit from each life ex perience, that your ministry for Christ might be enriched. May we urge you to consider a new and profitable experience— A Purpose ful Vacation. This summer Biola offers you a vaca tion and a Bible study program pleas ingly combined. Dormitory rooms in the Institute’s thirteen-story building are available for all Summer School students. The Biola Dining Room will be open through the Summer School terms. The Los Angeles Public Library with its attractive grounds is adjacent to the Institute and will afford many enjoyable hours. Also, specially con ducted tours to many places of inter est are being planned for California visitors. You have long hoped to visit South ern California, that sun-drenched land of sweeping vistas. You feel—and rightly so— that you have missed so much of the glory o f God in the far West, and His marvelous handiwork in mountain, valley, and sea. Viewing the beauty of God’s world, and comprehending more of the won ders of His Word, you will be refreshed and strengthened by a summer term at the Bible Institute of Los Angeles.
