Les tunnels ou les forts de neige peuvent sembler amusants, mais ils sont extrêmement dangereux lorsque construits en bordure des chemins. Lors du déneigement des chemins, nous poussons et/ou enlevons les bancs de neige pour assurer une meilleure sécurité sur nos chemins.
Snow tunnels and forts can seem like a lot of fun, but they are extremely dangerous when built on the side of the roads. When clearing the snow from the streets, we push the snow banks back to make our roads more secured.

PLANIFIER VOTRE HIVER EN TOUTE SÉCURITÉ NE STATIONNER PAS VOS VÉHICULES EN BORDURE DES CHEMINS PENDANT LA NUIT 15 NOVEMBRE AU 15 AVRIL. Dans la mesure du possible, les chasse-neige passeront durant la nuit. Il est permis de stationner vos véhicules sur la chaussée lors du déblaiement de votre entrée. Pour éviter tout dommage à votre véhicule, vous devez vous assurer que votre véhicule ne nuise pas aux chasse-neige durant le déblaiement de votre chemin. Si votre véhicule nuit au déblaiement, un camion remorque sera appelé pour remorquer votre véhicule à vos frais. POUR LA SÉCURITÉ DE TOUS, VEUILLEZ SVP NE PAS INTERFÉRER DANS LE TRAVAIL DES OPÉRATEURS DE CHASSE-NEIGE LORS DU DÉNEIGEMENT DES CHEMINS. Lorsqu’il est possible, veuillez prendre une route alternative lorsque que vous voyez que le chemin que vous tentez de prendre est en plein déneigement. Le fait de dépasser, couper ou suivre de trop près rend les manœuvres de l’opérateur de chasse-neige très dangereuses. L’opérateur doit se concentrer sur le déneigement et pourrait ne pas vous voir si vous tentez des manœuvres dangereuses près de l’équipement de déneigement. NE LAISSEZ PAS VOS ENFANTS CONSTRUIRE DES TUNNELS DE NEIGE OU DES FORTS DE NEIGE PRÈS DE LA BORDURE DES CHEMINS. Les forts de neige peuvent sembler amusant, mais ils sont extrêmement dangereux lorsque construits en bordure des chemins. Lors des déneigements des chemins, nous poussons les bancs de neige pour s’assurer d’une meilleure visibilité. Nous ne voudrions pas voir d’accident malheureux se produire. NE POUSSEZ PAS OU NE SOUFFLEZ PAS LA NEIGE SUR LA CHAUSSÉE, CECI POURRAIT NUIRE À LA CIRCULATION PIÉTONNIAIRE ET DES VÉHICULES. Les règlements de la Cité de Clarence-Rockland défendent tout résident de pousser ou souffler la neige dans la rue ou de l’autre côté de la rue et/ou dans les stationnements et/ou les trottoirs publiques. Les opérateurs de chasse-neige essaient tant bien que mal de ne pas frapper les contenants à déchets tandis qu’ils déblaient les chemins. S’il vous plaît, vous assurer que vos contenants à déchets ainsi que tout autre effet soient éloignés de la bordure du chemin lors des tempêtes. LORS DU DÉBLAIEMENT DE VOTRE ENTRÉE, GARDEZ VOTRE NEIGE DANS VOTRE COUR ÉLOIGNÉE DE L’ENTRÉE DE VOTRE VOISIN. Soyez prévenant auprès de vos voisins, si leur entrée est en aval de la vôtre. PLAN AHEAD FOR A SAFE SNOWY WINTER DO NOT PARK VEHICLES IN THE CITY’S RIGHT OF WAY OVERNIGHT FROM NOVEMBER 15th THROUGH APRIL 15th The city plows at night whenever possible. It is permissible to move your vehicles into the Right of Way during the day to clean your driveway, but make sure to park them well out of the way at night to avoid any damage to vehicles. However, a tow truck will be called to remove vehicles that impede snow removal. Owners must pay tow company fees associated with storage and towing. FOR EVERYONE’S SAFETY PLEASE AVOID INTERFERING WITH SNOW REMOVAL EQUIPMENT AND PERSONNEL. Please take alternate routes when you see snow removal on the street ahead of you. Passing, tailgating or cutting off this equipment is very hazardous as they are focused on their tasks and may not see you. DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN BUILD SNOW TUNNELS OR SNOW FORTS NEAR THE ROADWAY SNOW BANKS. Snow forts can seem like a lot of fun, but they are extremely dangerous when built in the city Right of Way or next to the road. When snow builds up we push the banks back to help with visibility at intersections. We cannot see children playing in these caves and do not want any accidents to occur. DO NOT PUSH OR BLOW THE SNOW BACK ONTO THE ROADWAY AS IT MAY ENCUMBER WITH THE PEDESTRIAN AND VEHICLE CIRCULATION. City ordinance prohibits plowing snow across or onto any public street, parking area, alley or sidewalk. DO NOT PLACE YOUR TRASH CONTAINER IN THE RIGHT OF WAY DURING A SNOW EVENT. The plow crews try very hard not to hit trash cans left out while they are plowing, but prefer that the cans not impact snow removal. Please keep you trash cans and all personal items back away from the roadway during a storm. WHEN CLEARING YOUR DRIVEWAY, PUT SNOW INTO YOUR YARD OR AWAY FROM YOUR NEIGHBOORS DRIVEWAY. Please be considerate of your neighbors; if their driveway is just downstream from yours, push or blow the snow into your yard.

Si vous êtes dans l’impossibilité de vous rendre à l’un des sites précités, soyez avisé que BFI effectuera une collecte spéciale des arbres de Noël la semaine du 14 au 18 janvier 2013 la même journée que votre collecte d’ordures régulière. Les arbres dans un sac de plastique, gelés dans le banc de neige ou encore avec des décorations ne seront pas ramassés. AVIS RÈGLEMENT SUR LE STATIONNEMENT DE NUIT EN HIVER Les règlements sur le stationnement de nuit en hiver sont en vigueur du 15 novembre au 1er avril. L’objectif est de permettre le déneigement des rues et des chemins afin que vous puissiez circuler en sécurité. Cela signifie que vous ne pouvez pas garer votre véhicule dans la rue entre 1h et 7h du matin. Les véhicules garés dans les rues alors que les restrictions relatives au stationnement de nuit en hiver sont en vigueur recevront une contravention. Stationnement interdit sur une voie publique entre 1 h et 7 h - 45$ Étant résidents et automobilistes soyez attentif des prévisions météorologique locales. Les interdictions de stationner demeurent en vigueur tous les soirs, par la suite, jusqu’à ce que les opérations de déneigement soient terminées. Comment savoir si une restriction relative au stationnement de nuit est en vigueur ? • Appelez aux 613 446-6022 • Écoutez les bulletins spéciaux sur le stationnement de nuit diffusés par les stations de radio et de télévision locales; • Visitez le site Web d’environnement Canada ou composez le 613 998-8805 pour savoir si une accumulation de neige d’au moins 5cm est prévue dans la région de la Capital National. For residents unable to dispose of their trees at one of our sites, a special collection of Christmas trees will be carried out by BFI the week of January 14th to 18th, 2013 on the same day as your regular waste collection. Trees wrapped in a plastic bag, frozen in the snow bank or still covered in decorations will not be picked up.
NOTICE OVERNIGHT WINTER PARKING
The City of Clarence-Rockland encourages its Winter overnight parking regulations are in effect throughout the city from November 15 to April 1. The objective is to permit the snow removal from our streets and roads so you may travel safely. This means that you cannot park on City streets between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. Vehicles that remain parked on the street during an overnight parking restriction will be ticketed.
Park – Prohibited on highway between 1:00 am and 7:00 am - $45.
Park – interfere with snow clearing - $55
As residents and motorists please be aware of your local weather. Enforcement of winter overnight parking restrictions will continue each evening until snow clearing operations are completed. How can you find out if an overnight parking restriction is in effect? • Call at 613 446-6022 • Tune in to local media for announcements about overnight parking restrictions • Check to see if a snowfall of 5 cm or more is forecast for our region by visiting Environment Canada online or by calling 613 998-3439.
