integrated into the very contemporary world of this 5-star hotel, the result of a close collaboration with the Tuscan artist Paolo Dovichi, who created more than fifty works for the occasion: Italian velvets, silks and linen are the material for abstract and minimalist representations, wrapped in Plexiglas. These soft forms illustrate the colours of earth, water, fire and air. They are defined by the four floors of the villa, where the works are fluidly integrated. Some of the works were created from large Dimora Palanca, a elegant 18th century villa, where art has always been at the core of life... wooden slabs with stucco bases decorated with gold, sil- ver and Judean bitumen leaf. The combination of tech- niques, materials and fabrics in Paolo Dovichi's creations mixes classical and contemporary styles that enrich the timeless atmosphere, simple aesthetics and original architecture of the hotel. Respecting its artistic roots and impressive Florentine heritage, Dimora Palanca is home to a unique collection of 21st century art! The sleek furni- shings give a very modern aesthetic while the dark wood- work contributes to the sense of luxury and sophistication.
The eighteen fully soundproofed rooms and suites share a natural palette of soft shades of cream, white and grey, enhanced by darker shades of graphite and charcoal. Most have a private terrace with bistro tables or sun loungers. Simmons mattresses are dressed in natural Italian linens whose restful colour palette is in perfect harmony with the artwork. The bathrooms are spacious, opulent, with showers equipped with chromotherapy, and offer natural
