man of God may be perfect, thor­ oughly f u r n i s hed unto all good works.” Perhaps most of you think that here at Biola the degrees we offer are the B.A. and the B:S. This, however, is not correct. We have far more than that. Have you ever heard of the A.U.G. degree? Now this means simply “Approved Unto God.” The Bible exhorts us, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” This then is the Biola program of education for today, as in the past, so as we look ahead in the commemo­ ration of this 60th anniversary of our founding.

The people of the world may be able to taste a soft drink, long before they have had the opportunity of tasting of the Water of Life, that precious substance which, if a man partakes of it, he shall never thirst again. It is our responsibility, basically, to proclaim these truths of God’s Word found only in the Bible. May the Lord burden us with the importance of Christian education. In II Timothy 3:17 there is a statement telling us the reason for such education. Certainly it is dis­ tinctly stated here so that we may see the reason for our Christian ex­ perience and development, “That the
