UP IN SMOKE: SWEET AND SPICY “The combinations of sweet, spicy, and smoky are dominating the flavor trend predictions of 2025,” according to Tastewise. From cooking techniques that implement smoky flavors, to the utilization of hot honey and other sweet and spicy condiments, the year of 2025 will bring out boldness amongst restaurant menu creations. According to the latest consumer reports from The Michelin Guide, restaurant diners are seeking nostalgia in the form of flame-cooked flavors. After research, one Michelin inspector states: “Diners prefer the traditional smoky flavors of grilling or stir-frying over an open flame to the effects of electric cooking methods.” Executive Chef Luke and the Westmoreland Club culinary team have composed a most recent edition of The Downtown Grille menu, featuring an incredible selection of flame grilled favorites from Westmoreland Club Prime, along with other enticing entrées fit for the 2025 trend, such as the Chipotle Seared Shrimp & Scallops, pictured above.
