SECTION VIII: MAINTENANCE, MANAGEMENT, AND OPERATION The Town of Burgaw Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department will work with the Facilities and Grounds and Public Works Departments to maintain the splash pad in accordance with North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services guidelines for water recreation amenities. See Appendix A. Ongoing and Short-Term Maintenance
• Daily water quality checks and balancing chemicals • Filter and surface inspections and cleaning Short- to Medium-Term Maintenance • Winterization • Annual full system inspection and replacement of worn parts • Keep water system filled to the appropriate capacity Medium- to Long-Term Maintenance • Surface repairs or recoating • Expansion of splash pad or addition of other facilities on site • Filter system or disinfection system replacement or upgrade
