CERAMICS HANDBUILDING: SLABS, MOLDS AND COILS No wheel? No problem! In this 6-week class, we will cover different ways to spice up your handbuilding techniques. We will explore how creating your own bisque molds and using templates can open endless possibilities for new shapes and designs. Starting with a solid block of clay, you’ll learn how to create both sculptural and functional pieces, unlocking new ways to work with clay. Through demonstrations and one-on- one guidance, you’ll deepen your skills and build confidence in handbuilding. This class encourages creativity and personal expression. CERAMICS CLASS INFORMATION: 1.CLASS FEES INCLUDE FIRING FEES. Please remember that MAC does not have the space to allow for production pottery. Extra firing fees will be assessed if kiln space is being overused. 2.Students are responsible for purchasing their own clay and tools unless otherwise noted. Clay is available for purchase at Moshier. 3.OPEN STUDIO: Students enrolling in classes marked by pottery vase are encouraged to use MAC’s free open studio times. These times can be used while the class you are enrolled in is in session. Please see the most current student manual for open studio times. This manual will be available to you on the first day of class.
