Product Warranty Procedures Alva products generally have a 1 year warranty. Certain Alva heaters have a 2 year warranty. Alva will despatch agents to the store/customer to inspect or assess any returns. Please note:

Alva will charge a 15% handling fee on stock accepted as a return that is proven to not be faulty and the retailer was not obliged to accept the return in terms of the CPA. Stock returned without the complete packaging, that is not faulty, will also incur a 15% handling fee.

Proof of purchase (1 day to 6 months from date of purchase, with proof of purchase). Units can be returned for a replacement or refund from the store. Provided there is adequate proof of purchase and the item is tested and confirmed genuinely faulty.

Customer has no receipt or guarantee is void.

Proof of purchase (6 months to 1 or 2 year/s from date of purchase, with proof of purchase). Units can be returned for a replacement or refund from the store. Provided there is adequate proof of purchase and the item is tested and confirmed genuinely faulty.

Unit involved in fire incident

- Test in store with customer present. - Customer details to be recorded and sent to Alva for follow up on the return issue (for quality feedback). Faulty Contact Alva on 0861 00 2582 for agent to visit store / customer.

Fire started due to customer negligence - unit returned to store / customer

or destroyed by ALVA rep (if unit is unsafe.) No claim.

Product can be repaired by Alva agent - cost carried by customer.

Alva agent to collect unit and technical manager to assess and ascertain fault / reason for fire.

Fire started as a result of a factory fault / defect within the unit. Replace unit.

NOTE: Where the product has been supplied and the customer was allowed the opportunity to inspect the goods prior to purchase (retail environment) or the product is damaged due to consumer negligence, Alva will treat the case as an “Out of Warranty” return and will not offer a refund or credit on the item. * Any product that is subject to customer abuse will not be credited. These products can be repaired at cost to the customer.
