2026 Project Budget: $340,839 This project supports California dairy producers by providing accessible, science-based education and certification programs that promote environmental
compliance, animal care, and farm management excellence. Through training, evaluation, and outreach, the program helps producers meet regulatory requirements while strengthening on-farm sustainability and resilience. PROJECT GOALS: • Offer free, up-to-date education and services that reduce regulatory risks, lower inspection frequency, and provide significant permit fee savings for certified facilities. • Deliver tailored guidance on water and air quality, livestock health, food safety, and animal care best practices. • Help producers maintain business continuity during disease outbreaks and strengthen farm security through collaboration with law enforcement. • Reinforce California dairy farmers’ reputation for responsible, science-driven management and environmental stewardship. CDQAP is an industry-academia-government partnership that serves to support California dairy producers. CDRF funds CDQAP outreach activities. CO- FUNDED
