2026 Project Budget: $99,994 This project evaluates the utilization, preferences, and impact of fermented dairy products among WIC-eligible clients. By providing access to these products along
with educational materials, it aims to enhance dietary quality, promote healthful eating habits, and inform program strategies for increasing acceptance and use of fermented dairy foods. PROJECT GOALS: • Increase access to a diverse range of fermented dairy products and educational resources within the WIC program. • Support better nutrition, enjoyment of dairy foods, and long-term health outcomes for families. • Demonstrate consumer acceptance and potential consumption patterns, guiding future WIC program offerings. This project is 50% co-funded in partnership with Dairy Council of California. CO- FUNDED
