2026 Project Budget: $5,250 This project supports targeted outreach for
environmental stewardship in the California dairy industry by surveying nutritionists about their knowledge, interest, and barriers in adopting feed- related sustainability strategies. The insights will guide effective communication and educational programs to promote practical, science-based interventions. PROJECT GOALS: • Provide nutritionists with relevant, accessible, and science-based information, increasing engagement and adoption of sustainable practices. • Promote nutritional strategies that contribute to greenhouse gas reduction, nutrient management, and overall environmental stewardship in California dairies. • Generate data to design effective programs and sets the stage for future research and outreach initiatives.
