CADAIRY4GOOD In September CMAB worked with Dairy Producer Social Team member, Maureen Lemos, to support a #GivingGallons milk drive in her local community. Using a 100-gallon donation commitment from CMAB as an incentive, she shared information about the need for milk in local feeding programs and options for donating through her social channels.
September also kicked off the third annual Real California Milk Intercollegiate Give-A-Gallon Challenge, which took place between Fresno State, Modesto Junior College, Cal Poly SLO and Chico State. Students solicited donations through local and campus community and virtual milk drives to see which team could raise the largest number of funds and physical gallons of milk. Fresno State was this year’s ultimate winner with a total of 663 physical gallons raised, and $2,837 in cash donations. A total of 1,702 gallons of milk were raised through this initiative for campus and local food banks.
