wonderful way to conclude the year, with boys rostered to come in and cycle for one or more hours. It was also awesome to see several parents, siblings, and friends also jump on the bikes to help out. The event epitomised the essence of Julius House through a wonderful demonstration of togetherness and collective effort to support others. We are keen to do it again next year. This year, for the first time, we held the annual Julius House prize-giving in the Dining Hall as a shared meal. This, too, was another wonderful occasion, and we were privileged to have recent Julius Old Boy Kynan Salt speak to the House. Kynan’s outstanding message to 180 members of the Julius House community was inspirational, and would be remembered for some time. In fact, other than myself doing the continuity and MC duties,

all the speakers were either recent or current Julius House boys. All four – Kynan Salt, Christian Higgins, Guy Greening and new Head of House Tom Picton-Warlow – were simply outstanding. It demonstrates that we are on the right track in terms of developing great young leaders and men. I look forward to working with the new generation of Julius House leaders for 2023 – Head of House Tom Picton-Warlow, and Deputies William Sudell, George Rookes, Lucca Wiseman and Otto Elworthy. I am very confident that with these young men leading the House, we will continue to develop and nurture a wonderful culture of support and brotherhood. Nga¯ mihinui ki a koutou Dr Mike Field Housemaster, Julius House
