“ A tedious brief scene of young Pyramus and his love Thisbe; very tragical mirth... ” Any Shakespeare fan knows and loves the fairies, frivolity and fantastical comedy of A Midsummer Night’s Dream – no wonder Ciaran Huntley chose the “play within the play” of Pyramus and Thisbe to direct for this year’s Shakespeare Festival. He brought his own enthusiasm, creativity and knowledge to every rehearsal, and truly made this a valuable experience for both our young and veteran actors. The annual Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival entices more than 5,500 students across the country into keeping the Bard’s literary works alive and thriving through performance. They are encouraged to demonstrate their engagement with Shakespeare’s plays
