Award by the end of Year 11. This will allow motivated boys to achieve their Silver or Gold sections of the Discovery and Service sections of the College Diploma. Thanks to this initiative, more boys are completing their Silver Award in Year 11. This gives them two years to gain their Gold Award before leaving College. We now have had our first two Old Boys who started their Gold Award while at College complete the award after finishing school. Our new honours board acknowledges this feat and reminds the boys that they have until age 24 to complete all levels of the award and it is not just an award to finish while at College. The College Venture Group continues to expand. It is now in its fourth year as a sport for those boys who wish to learn tramping and mountaineering skills. It is run

by Tom Hawkins. It is anticipated that it will expand over the next few years to offer more Silver and Gold Adventurous Journeys as the group grows in numbers and experience. The Year 9 Activity Week and the Adventurous Journeys are a huge commitment for College staff. Across all year groups, more than 300 boys have been involved in a range of outdoor activities. During the year, many staff were involved in trips, with some undertaking multiple trips. I would like to thank all staff and our providers for making these activities a success for our boys.
