College 250/7dec (Seeto 79, Shore 53) beat North West 89ao (Gibb 5/23) and 141ao (Falls-Anderson 4/37, Hocquard 3/16) by an innings and 20 runs College won this encounter with ease following a solid all-round batting performance, including the first century partnership of the year between Tim Seeto and Harry Sharr. The spinners shared 12 wickets across the two innings to secure the win with plenty of time left. vs Whanganui Collegiate School Match cancelled because of Covid-19 restrictions. vs Christchurch Boys’ High School 1st XI 1st innings forfeit and 294/9 drew with College 98/3dec (Lewis 40) and 144/6 (Seeto 42, Shore 41) With the first day lost to rain, this was always going to be a difficult game to get a result, especially with the two-day championship on the line. CBHS forfeited its first innings and College responded with a quick-fire 98 in 14 overs. CBHS then batted well to declare 196 ahead and set a tough target. College went for the win until the 6th wicket fell before batting out for a draw against our biggest rival. College maintained its winning ways with an emphatic victory over the StAC 1st XI. Led by Tim Seeto’s second century of the term and a quick-fire 70 from Harry Sharr, StAC was never in the game. The wickets were shared around as College kept the pressure on with fine fielding for its 6th win of the term by more than 100 runs. vs Timaru Boys’ High School 1st XI College 283/5 (Gibb 111*, Sharr 59) beat TBHS 1st XI 59ao (Hocquard 3/3, McClean 3/15) by 224 runs College continued to pile on the runs when batting first with Nick Gibb securing his first century of the season and Harry Sharr knocking a fine 59. Timaru was never in the hunt, with the win confirmed after 28 overs.
