College struggled to post a competitive total, only getting to 130 thanks to Jordan Braithwaite batting at number 8. The bowlers took regular wickets, but with one over to go, St Bede’s only needed two to win. vs Canterbury U19 Canterbury U19 291/7 (Lewis 2/32) defeated College 155ao (Sharr 38) by 136 runs The side began its preparation with a warm-up game against Canterbury U19. This match did not go our way, but the experience only hardened the team’s resolve for the upcoming fixtures, identified some areas for improvement, and generally refocused the squad. vs Mount Albert Grammar School – Gillette Cup #1 College 395/9 (Seeto 160, Gibb 125) defeated Mount Albert 271ao (Hocquard 2/15, McClean 2/47) by 124 runs The team arrived early for the first day of the tournament. College won the toss and elected to bat. Matt Lewis got the team off to a flyer, with balls disappearing into gardens and hedges, after thoroughly dispatching the opening bowlers.

Nick Gibb, Matt Lewis, and Ollie Shore were majestic scoring their century and 50s, respectively, and then Ben Breitmeyer and Matt Hocquard did the rest. A fantastic win. The season culminated in the Gillette Cup National Tournament, only the second time College had qualified, with the other occasion in 2011. College was also to defend the Heathcote Williams Shield for two of the matches.
