win against CBHS 3rd XI. This was followed by Benji Nation scoring 96 against StAC 2nd XI, before our finishers, Finn McCormack-Young and Gus Eglinton, powered us to 258. StAC was 32 for 4 in 10 overs because of Frankie Meates and Austin Smith, giving us an 80-run win. Benji Nation’s 146 from 89 balls against St Bede’s College 3rd XI set up a score of 333, with Frankie Meates contributing 28 from nine balls. Austin Smith’s four wickets gave us the momentum to win by 150 runs. Shirley Boys’ High School 1st XI was out for 156, before Felix Huston scored 69 to win by three wickets. We did the same in the next game against Ashburton College, having the opposition all out for 198, with Hunter Shore taking five wickets. In our final round match, Felix Huston scored 151 againstnRangiora High School 1st XI. It was made easier with partnerships of 100 with Lucas Kelly and James Kelly. Our total of 289 was too much for the oppostion, when Frankie Meates and Hunter Shore had the batsmen 3 for 3 after a few overs, before Jackson Garry took four wickets to give us a 200-run win.

grade as the 2nd XI. Term 1 was a disrupted term with weather and Covid-19-related cancellations. Our first game was against College 2nd XI, which showed us the standard we needed to reach. The following matches gave us a win against St Andrew’s College by 30 runs, and a win against Sydenham 1st XI by nine runs. We defended 115 runs against Ashburton College 1st XI, in a match we should not have won, especially when our first ball went for nine runs. We were outplayed by St Bede’s College 2nd XI, before claiming a five-wicket win against Christchurch Boys’ High School 3rd XI to finish 3rd overall. In Term 4, we were in the 1st XI Cup Competition. As a team, we really found our form, with batters forming great partnerships and bowlers making it hard for opposition. We went through the competition without being dismissed, but were able to dismiss all other teams inside their 50 overs. Jack Baker-Sherman (51) and Felix Huston (58) led us to 241 in our first
