Andrew’s College, in pool play. A close 1–0 loss to St Kentigern (in a game that College dominated) resulted in a play-off for 9th to 16th place. Another close loss to John McGlashan College, followed by wins over King’s College and Hamilton Boys’ High School, led to the team finishing a respectable 13th overall. For the first time in three seasons, the 1st XI had a ‘normal season’ with a full local competition and a Rankin Cup tournament. After a slow start, the team hit its straps in Term 3. After finishing 5th in the round robin, the team beat Christchurch Boys’ High School in the quarter-final before losing to Timaru Boys’ High School in the semi-final. The boys bounced back to beat St Bede’s College in the 3rd and 4th play-off to finish 3rd overall. At the Rankin Cup national tournament, College qualified for the top 16 section after comfortable wins over Southland Boys’ High School and Rathkeale College, and then a loss to eventual finalist St
