out his role with 100% effort. His work rate was immense and he was often left to do the grunt work which some people did not always notice – but the coaches did. Josh Garland was a member of the 1st XI over three seasons, including one Rankin Cup tournament, one South Island tournament, and 27 matches. He only started being a keeper in Year 10, so his development in the position has been significant. He kept the team in tight games several times this season with some impressive saves, and worked well with fellow goalie Zach Adams, being able to share games seamlessly. James Griffin was a member of the 1st XI for three seasons, including one South Island tournament and 36 matches. During this time, he was part of the team’s attack, where he linked well with his fellow strikers and always created pressure on the opposition defence. James was a very skilful player whose spirit and enthusiasm on and off the field contributed to the team culture and success. Will Morris was a member of the 1st XI for three seasons, including one South Island tournament and 25 games. During this time, he was part of the team’s attack, where his extreme pace put a lot of defences under pressure. Will always gave 100% effort on the field and did so in a positive and enthusiastic manner. He remained strongly committed, even after his non-selection for tournament. This was a true testament to his character. Year 12 Leaver Oscar Chaffey was a member of the 1st XI for two years and played 31 matches. He was a positive member of the team who always carried out his role with 100% effort. Playing in the back four he made key tackles and was a positive link between defence and attack. Off the field, Oscar’s nature was such that he fitted into the team culture well, contributing to the team both on and off the field. Darrell Thatcher MiC/Manager
