After the July break, the team was finally at full strength, after challenges with illness and non- rugby related injuries in Term 2. The All Backs were given a scare in the semi-final against CBHS Blue, just holding on at the end to win, 19–17. The boys were very excited to qualify for the final against StAC at Burnside Park. The game was evenly poised at half-time, before StAC scored three tries in the 3rd quarter. College finished the game strongly with two excellent tries in the final quarter, going down 15–27 to the unbeaten StAC team. The team was well led by Tai Mckenzie at halfback, who played his heart out in every game. Other players to stand out included Darce Terpstra, Liam Singer and Drew
Edmundson in the forwards. Will Leech, Louis de Lautour, Charlie Redfern and try-scoring machine Charlie Wood had good seasons in a talented backline. Special mention should be made of Cam Hill, who supported the team every training session and on game day, while injured and on crutches for most of Term 2. All the boys should be very proud of what they achieved individually and as a group in 2022. They developed a great team culture, which made for a very enjoyable season.
