Justin Wang, Finlay McCullough, Max Harris, Daniel Bridgman and the Senior relay team were 2nd or 3rd in their events. SPECIAL MENTIONS Rylind Wheeler competed at the South Island Secondary Schools’ swim meet held in Dunedin. Some wonderful racing by Rylind resulted in three South Island titles for his age group – the 100m individual
medley, and 50m and 100m breaststroke, with personal bests achieved. Rylind also claimed silver in the 50m butterfly, and bronze medals in the 100m backstroke and freestyle events. Jordan Astley travelled to the NZ Age Group Swim Championships during the Term 1 holidays. He had a successful meet, making several age- group finals with the highlight being a bronze in the Boys’ 16 years 1500m freestyle event.
