END GRAIN WOOD IS ONE OF THE MOST DURABLE AND RESILIENT SOLID WOOD FLOORING SURFACES AVAILABLE.
Years ago, end grain wood tiles were used for street paving and factory floors because of the exceptional durability due to the structure of the growth rings.
Wood flooring in the traditional way is made of planks sawn lengthwise. End grain flooring is made by sawing crosswise to the grain. This produces individual tiles which are then machined with ultimate precision and glued together to a stable Birch ply baseboard to create a 1 strip plank 86 5/8” (2200mm) long by 7 1/8” (180mm) wide, enabling installation with speed.
