Max Maths – Making Real-World Connections is a transformational new course for the Caribbean that creates rich mathematical experiences, depth of understanding and positivity towards mathematics. It has been created by a leading team of maths educators who specialise in the development of the core mathematical process skills embedded in the OECS Learning Standards: problem-solving, reasoning, communicating, connecting and representing. In this Student’s Book: • Each unit opens with an inspiring double-page spread designed to stimulate curiosity, communication, conjecture and challenge • Key words and phrases are introduced in line with the OECS standards • Key questions are designed to engage students with fundamental concepts • Start thinking encourages students to develop their own ideas about the topic • Let’s learn together uses probing questions to develop reasoning.
