1 We can use multiplication and division facts to help divide 2-digit numbers. Look at the different methods for 33 ÷ 3 = 11. We know that 10 × 3 = 30. 33 is 3 more than 30. We know that 1 × 3 = 3. So there are 11 groups of 3 in 33.

We can use repeated subtraction to take away groups of 3 from 33.
