London Ambulance Service NHS Trust (LAS) is the busiest emergency ambulance service in the UK. The brief was to secure a senior estates leader with demonstrable experience of overseeing a multi-site and complex portfolio. Following a national search, the appointed candidate was an experienced Head of Estates at a London based local authority, most recently overseeing a portfolio of a similar size, scale and possessed experience of leading an estates transformation programme.
MRG were approached by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire of Isle of Wight (the OPCC), following a recommendation from a local partner organisation to appoint a new Head of Estates. Over 150 potential candidates were identified, of which 10 candidates were longlisted for MRG interview. 7 candidates were then shortlisted and the OPCC selected 5 to interview, deeming 3 to be appointable. Following the Head of Estates appointment, MRG subsequently delivered recruitment of the Development Director, Hard FM & Projects Manager and Compliance Officer roles.
