The Cougars are on the road Friday and Saturday nights, first in Papineauville against the Vikings and then in Morrisburg to face the Lions.
Les Hawks de Hawkesbury ont défait les Lumber Kings de Pembroke avant de s’in- cliner face au Senators d’Ottawa la semaine dernière. Le 2 décembre dernier, les Hawks accueil- laient les Lumber Kings à l’aréna Robert Hartley. Bien que les Hawks aient remporté la partie, c’est le club de Pembroke qui a marqué le premier. En effet, Brendan Brown a déjoué le gardien des Hawks, Matthew Chan, tôt en première période, pour donner l’avance au Lumber Kings. Mais cette avance a été de courte du- rée, puisque les Hawks ont riposté à deux reprises en deuxième période. David Jan- kowski et Jonathan Cyr ont tous deuxmarqué en supériorité numérique. Lors de la troisième période, Brett Ever- son a lui aussi compté lors d’une supériorité numérique, tandis que Charles Levesque a marqué à deux reprises. Peacefully at home, Sheila Ann Rourke (nee Chisholm), age 61, of L’Orignal, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. She was the beloved wife of Sandy Bruce Rourke. Predeceased by her son David Rupoli (2007), she was the devoted mother to Maria Rupoli Perreira (Marcus) and Elisa Rupoli Belyea (Ian); the cherished grandmother to Anthony, Vincent Perreira and Abby Belyea; a wonderful sister to Mary Catherine McBean, of Green Valley, Florence (George) McBean, of Ottawa, Ronald (Mary) and Alan Chisholm, of Alexandria. She will also be remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Sheila was a woman of strong faith and integrity. She went out of her way to help others and exemplified a Christ centered life. The family is very grateful to the nursing staff at CCAC, St.Elizabeth and Medicare for their compassionate care. Family and friends are gathered to attend, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1001, Spence Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario, for the memorial service on Saturday December 10 th at 11 a.m. Flowers are welcomed. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 837, Pitt, St. Unit # 1 Cornwall, Ontario, K6J 3S5, would be appreciated.
It has been 10 long years since you left us and not one day goes by without us thinking about you, remembering all the memories that we all shared together. We know that you are watching over us every day and when we do look up, you are still the brightest star in the sky. We will never forget you; you will stay in our hearts forever. Il y a déjà 10 années que tu nous as quittés. On t’a aimée et tu nous as quittés de corps mais tu demeures toujours dans notre cœur et notre mémoire. Pas un jour ne passe sans que l’on pense à toi. Dieu nous l’avait prêtée pour notre bonheur mais Il nous l’a enlevée trop tôt. Tu étais une femme avec un grand cœur d’or. Tu nous as laissé de bons souvenirs. “Bonne fête maman (mémère)” Tes enfants et petits-enfants.
