makeup needs to fit. There’s no room for heavy cosmetics that just slide right off. We want shimmer, sheen and gloss that will work at high temperatures and enhance a tropical flush. To start, apply (1) Clinique Moisture Surge (M&S, £25) all over the face. Then brush brows up and outwards with (2) Benefit Gimme Brow+Volumising Eyebrow Gel (House of Fraser, £22.50). To add shimmer, blend (3) ICONIC London Illuminator in Champagne (Boots, £32) on cheekbones. Then buff (4) Givenchy Teint Couture City Balm (H Beauty, £43) all over your face using a stipple brush. For that relaxed I-live-in-a- resort air, conceal undereye shadows with (5) LA Girl PRO. Conceal HD High Definition Concealer (Beauty Base, £4.99). Then add a touch of (6) Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Stick Blush in Blush Pink (Boots, £35) on the apples of your cheeks and across the nose. Finish summer skin with (7) Chantecaille Real Bronze (H Beauty, £71) on cheekbones, across the nose, and on high points of the face.
Reloaded Mascara in Brown Black (Wilko, £8.99) on top and bottom lashes and sweep (9) Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Moonlight (Boots, £25) across the whole eyelid. Blend deep-brown shadow from (10) St Germain Des Prés Eyeshadow Palette (H Beauty, £36) into the socket and under lower lashes. Lips only require a slick of (11) MAC Lipglass in Spice (MAC Cosmetics, £16.50). Prep hair with (12) Schwarzkopf Keratin Heat Protect Spray 200ml (Superdrug, £4.99) before using (13) TRESemmé Salon Professional Ceramic Waving Wand (Superdrug, £24.99). Curl hair in the same direction in small sections and leave to cool. Spray all over with (14) ARKIVE The Mastery Hairspray 250ml (Boots, £13), and let hair fully cool before brushing out with a Denman bristle brush until all curls form one continuous wave. Add a few drops of (15) Percy & Reed Time To Shine Mirror Mirror Shine Serum 50ml (M&S, £22) through the hair for softening and shine and you’re done.
