As shown below, the landscape of influencer marketing tools now includes a myriad of influencer discovery tools, social listening platforms (discussed under “Contagious Content”), influencer
marketplaces, and influencer marketing agencies. Influencer/creator marketplaces serve as intermediaries , facilitating partnerships between influencers and brands looking to leverage the influencers' reach and audience to support the brand in some way. Their primary function is connection. They operate through online networks where influencers and brands can directly engage with each other to create sponsored content, partnerships, or promotions. Some examples of influencer marketing marketplaces include Intellifluence, Tribe, Popular Pays, IZEA, Webfluential, and Heepsy. Influencer discovery tools are used to (1) discover influencers across various social media platforms and (2) assess their suitability for collaboration based on metrics and audience alignment.
