Content-Driven Relationship Mktg for Social Media Influence

Module 3: Enhancing Touchpoints with Contagious Content and Community Conversation Unit 3: Campaign Challenges for Community Excitement

• "Show your version!" (Invite users to recreate popular moments, such as styling a “zero waste kitchen” inspired by minimalism or dressing up as a trending pop culture character like a superhero. These visuals can encourage users to craft their version of viral moments in creative ways.) • "What happens next?" (Challenge users to predict the next innovation in areas like virtual reality, NFTs, or blockchain, as shown in the futuristic tech- themed imagery. They could imagine what the next Metaverse experience will be like or even predict a sports star's next big move, like the image of Deion Sanders.) By tapping into what’s popular, these types of challenges inspire participation and expand your campaign’s reach. The key is to tailor your prompts to match both trending ideas and the visual themes seen in your images.

Not all participants may be comfortable creating Reels, Shorts, or TikTok videos, but many can easily create a meme or GIF. To increase engagement, offer multiple ways to win by providing different submission criteria. Compared to a winner- take-all contest, allowing multiple winners gives participants more incentive to compete. You could create categories, such as awarding the best smile in different styles—Mona Lisa, creepy, or seductive. At the same time, for higher-impact contests, it’s important to cognitively challenge participants. This could involve encouraging them to outwit one another in creative ways.

LEVEL OF CHALLENGE DIFFICULTY (SLIDE #5)

When selecting a challenge concept and identifying your audience, it’s essential to evaluate the difficulty level to ensure it's well-suited to the participants. The goal is to strike a balance between: • Being challenging enough to generate excitement and motivate participation. • Not being too difficult to discourage competition. Start by asking: could the challenge concept exclude people who are unable to complete the required task? Also, consider whether the submission requirements are too demanding. For example, is producing a video necessary, or could participants simply submit an image or clever caption?
