The great truth that He was the Messiah He reveals to this ignorant and sinful woman just as He had already revealed to her the great truth about God and the true method of worshipping Him. Many preachers and teachers of the Gospel today think they must withhold the greater truths from the ignorant and sinful; they would do well to learn from .the example of our Lord Himself. Ignorant as she was and sinful as she was, she was longing for the Messiah, and immediately she became an effective missionary, leading a whole city to Christ (vs. 28-42).
