Nilpeter Places Flexo Presses In Two Companies BY GREG KISHBAUGH
Three Companies Merge, Creating Innotex Packaging The investment firm LongueVue Capital has bundled three companies together to create Innotex Packaging Solutions, calling it an in- tegrated flexible packaging solutions provider that unites Summit Plastics, ClearView Pack- aging, and Fredman Packaging.
Ilketap, a label converter founded in Bursa, Turkey, in 1981, has purchased the new Nilpeter FA-22 flexo press, equipped with 12 printing units and added gravure capabilities, to expand its production capabilities further. İlketap mostly produces labels and packaging for large corporate clients in the food, beverage, and personal/home care products sectors. İlketap manufactures single-sided, cut labels and self-adhesive, transparent, metalized and glossy coated roll labels for corporations.
According to New Orleans-based Longue- Vue, the “strategic rebranding” brings togeth- er the complementary capabilities of these three companies to form a vertically integrat- ed flexible packaging leader with expertise in blown film production, flexographic printing, adhesive laminations, and converting. The umbrella company Innotex now in- cludes facilities at Summit, Mississippi-based Summit Films and at ClearView Packaging’s Al- bany, New York and Milwaukee, Wisconsin sites INX Acquires C&A, Launches INX Int’l Coatings, Adhesives The INX Group Limited, a wholly owned sub- sidiary of Sakata INX, has completed the ac- quisition of Coatings & Adhesives Corporation (C&A), a player in the coatings industry in North America known for its specialty products. The newly formed entity, INX International Coatings and Adhesives, will operate as a sister compa- ny alongside INX International Ink Co., united under a single management group.
The latest investment represents the fourth installation of the Nil- peter press at the company’s Bursa headquarters. İlketap has the capacity to manufacture multi-featured labels for its customers through the gravure, offset, flexographic, serigraphic and letter-press printing techniques. The labels can be provided with ele- ments such as cold/hot gilding, holograms, cellophane and UV glossy/ matte finish dispersion varnish with a single process. Flexo plates are manufactured within the company in a short time without having to depend on outsourcing. A color management system has been implemented by means of investing in a digital proofing sys- tem and GMG rip software. In Australia, label and flexible packaging manufacturer Ultra Labels, has installed a Nilpeter FA-26. The sale of the first 26-inch-wide flexo press to the Australian market marked a milestone for Nilpeter, setting the stage for similar trends across the broader APAC region.
