NATURE CENTER AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLEX PRIVATE TOUR Private Tours are for guests looking to learn more about nature with one on one instruction from our expert staff. Guests will explore the 175-acre John Hargrove Environmental Complex, learning about the wildlife that call it home and different ways the City of Pearland is working to conserve wild spaces within our fast-growing urban environment. Guests will also receive a private encounter with one of our ambassador animals which may or may not include a three-toed box turtle, an American alligator, or a prairie kingsnake. Next time you are looking to hike and explore, stop by the Delores Fenwick Nature Center to check-out one of our Nature Explorer Packs! The packs are filled with field guides, binoculars, view finders and other discovery instruments to help you get closer to nature. Packs are available at the DFNC for use around the property. They can be checked out during normal business hours from the DFNC front desk. Guests of all ages are encouraged to book a guided hike at the Delores Fenwick Nature Center! During the one hour Guided Hikes at the DFNC, groups will be led by our expert staff to explore the natural areas surrounding the facility. Seasonal birds, insects, reptiles, plants and more will be covered and each hike will be a unique educational experience, enjoyable for all ages. Guided Hikes must be booked in advance.
