Activity (7 min) Put tables in a row, with a chair on each side. Divide the group in pairs.
Each pair must (individually) come up with a ‘motivational speech’ that lasts 1 minute. Take 2 minutes to think about your speech. Then each pair will sit at a table and convince the other (student) to come and work for Sofitel. The more passion, enthusiasm and energy you display, the greater the chance the student will come and work for us. Debrief (2 min): Ask which one of you has been convinced by your speed-dating part- ner to come and work for Sofitel? Why? What did (s) he say or do that motivated you?

Say OK; let’s pretend we are visiting a Hotel school with students in their last year. They need to make a choice where they want to work after school. You have the possibility to motivate them and convince them to come to Sofitel, in a ‘speed dating’ type of situation.
