Transformer note: During this brief exercise, the Sofitel Ambassadors first identify common moments to demonstrate or mention the Blueprint and secondly the Sofitel Ambassadors are going to establish how to use the stimulating culture in their daily work. The purpose of this exercise is to make the stimulating culture a habit which is ingrained in their daily life. To do: Hand out markers and a flip chart and let the Sofitel Ambassadors write their outcome on the sheet. Say: During the next exercise, you are going to identify the ‘moments’ or ‘opportunities’ where it is possible to demonstrate or mention the Blueprint and/ or deliver the desired stimulating culture.
Say: Now we are going to form groups with the Sofitel Ambassadors, who had the same question on their sheet. Please find the Sofitel Ambassadors with the same question as you. Transformer note: When the sub-groups are formed, let them one by one share the ideas that appeal most to them, within their sub-group. Say: Within your group, each member is going to share which 2 ideas are most attractive and why. Please take 10 minutes to share. Step 3 Explain: The final step of Brain writing is to cluster ideas and to present the outcome to the other Sofitel Ambassadors. Please be aware that it is important that there should not be any discussion about what idea is good or better. Say: Every Sofitel Ambassador sticks their 2 post-its on the flip chart. Next step is to cluster and “label” the post-its. Make clusters together and think of a title that “covers” that cluster. Write the title down on the flip chart. To do: Finally let each group decide together which cluster appeals the most and let them present it to the other groups in one minute. Wrap up: Thank you for your ideas on what we can do to support your efforts to deliver the stimulating working climate and how you can overcome the hurdles that are in front of you in order for us to put the optimal working climate in place. Please think about the ideas that have been presented in order to establish what you can personally influence.
Say: We have now reached the end of this Kick-Off. Take a few moments to write down what you have learned personally. What did you learn today? What did you find interesting? What can you use and im- plement immediately in your daily work?
Ask everybody to share 1 personal action point with the group.
Say: Thank you very much for sharing that with us. I wish you good luck in achieving your personal goals. Thank everybody for their cooperation and contribution and say that you look forward to hearing about and seeing their results shortly!
Say: Please take 5 minutes to come up with as many moments as you can.
After 5 minutes, say: Let’s now move on to the second part of this exercise.
Say: Now you are going to establish how to build the Blueprint or the desired working climate into these ‘moments’.
Say: Please take 5 minutes to come up with as many ideas as you can.
After 5 minutes, say: Thank you all for your input. I see lots of inspiring ideas. Are there any questions about the output? Does anybody need more clarification?
