Forensic Specialist The court system connects clients to this program so that CHI can assist in assimilating them into the community. Sometimes the client lacks the mental competency required to participate in legal proceedings. CHI’s forensic program helps by providing services such as helping to find housing, case management, linking them to health care, medication management, therapy and more. CHI partners with Thriving Mind South Florida and provides services to work hand-in-hand for the related to the improvement of diabetes control. The team guides patients about managing their disease with positive behavior modifications. For more information contact 305-992-5908 Florida CEAL Diabetes CHI’s Outreach team connects with patients who have diabetes to help educate them on how to better control the disease. Indigent Psychiatric Medication Program This behavioral health program is state sponsored and allows patients at or below the poverty level to receive medication at a minimal cost. Under this program, eligible patients will be provided with important components to successful behavioral health treatment. Class A and Class B patients (individuals at 2% or below the poverty level) qualify for this initiative. For more information contact 305-254-2009 Jessie Trice Preventive Cancer Program CHI’s Community outreach team educates women about the importance of breast and cervical cancer screening. If the women meet criteria for the program they are signed up for a mammogram and pap smear.
