• OKC ranked #2 in the nation for least risky metro for small businesses by Forbes. • The report analyzed metrics focused on financial risk, safety risk, and workforce and customer risk for the 50 largest metro areas with available data. • OKC ranked ninth lowest in Forbes’ cybercrime metric, experiencing 34 crimes per 10,000 residents, which is lower than the study average of 82. • The state of Oklahoma experienced only $1.39 billion in retail crime costs in 2021, significantly less than the study average of $4.2 billion.
