It was very rewarding.” After her youngest child entered college, Chris turned her attention back to the dental field and joined our team here at Auburn Dental Center. “It’s very good to be back,” she says. “I get to see all these smiles again and visit with the people again. I knew people from a long time ago when I worked for the other dental office, people who I haven’t seen for many years now. It’s really good to see them all again.” In the office, Chris cares a lot about her work and our patients, just as she cares for herself and her family at home. When she isn’t spending time with her husband, children, and two dogs, you can find her reading through a new book or outside enjoying the sun. Since spring started, Chris has been busy in her garden and looks forward to even greater weather in the summer.

I’ve always liked meeting new people and getting to know them, especially seeing all the kids come in.” When Chris and her husband began to grow her family, she wanted to make sure she could be home for her kids and working while they were at school. As her kids entered school, she moved from her position in dentistry and began working in the elementary school. In her position, she screened kids for dyslexia and tutored them. “I

INGREDIENTS

1. Heat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking dish. 2. In a large bowl, combine 1 1/4 cups sugar, baking soda, salt, and 2 cups flour. 3. Stir in eggs and sour cream until smooth. 4. Fold in rhubarb and add mixture to the prepared baking dish. 5. In a small bowl, combine 1 cup sugar and butter until smooth. 6. Stir in 1/4 cup flour until mixture is crumbly. 7. Sprinkle mixture on top of cake batter and bake for 45 minutes. 8. Let cake cool for 5–10 minutes and serve.
