Delphi's "Crazy Electrical Tips" 2/10/24, 8:30-11:30 am Class #116, DeVos Gallery Overlook E

Advanced Driver Assist Systems or ADAS are designed to help the driver avoid collisions with other vehicles or objects through the use complex systems such as radar and image processing cameras. While these systems are very reliable under normal conditions, vehicle collisions and many service procedures require ADAS components to be calibrated. The goal of this class is to prepare the aftermarket technician to determine when and how an ADAS component needs to be calibrated by looking at specific examples on various vehicles. After completing this class, a technician will be able to: • Explain ADAS system operation • Determine required tools for an ADAS calibration • Setup a vehicle an ADAS calibration

Some electrical problems can drive even the best technician crazy. In this training course, veteran Delphi trainer Dave Hobbs will explain some common and not so common electrical / electronic problems and the practical methods to diagnose them. Topics will include Phantom Battery Rundowns (a.k.a. Intermittent Parasitic Current Draw), Ripple Voltage Testing with Meters and Scopes, and Meter Mistakes.
