Key Return Policy
This section applies to key categories below and supersedes the general return terms where they differ.
6. Miscut Mechanical Brass Keys 6.1 Miscut brass keys are not eligible for return.
7. ChipKey® Car keys 7.1 All ChipKey returns require prior authorization from the Technical Support Team by calling 866-674-8226.
7.2 All products must be returned to receive credit or reimbursement. 7.3 Undocumented/unauthorized ChipKey returns are not eligible for credit.
8. Uncut Requirement 8.1 To receive full credit, all ChipKey car keys must be returned uncut. 8.2 Any cut ChipKey car key received will be processed under the ChipKey Re-blade Program. 9. Defective Returns 9.1 Defective/product functionality/programming issue claims made within 2 years of receipt receive full reimbursement of the key price. 9.2 Similar claims after 2 years are reimbursed at 75% of the key price. 9.3 Any ChipKey car key received without prior communication and confirmation from technical support are not eligible for reimbursement. 9.4 Damaged keys or keys with loss of functionality due to improper use or misuse are not eligible for reimbursement or credit. 9.5 Special order ChipKey car keys with a confirmed defect from technical support are eligible for credit per 9.1 and 9.2 above. 9.6 Miscut special order keys will follow the miscut policy outlined in section 10 below. 9.7 A pre-paid return shipping label is provided when five (5) or more defective ChipKey car keys are being returned. Smaller returns accumulated that together a total of 5 or more defective ChipKey returns may also request a pre-paid return label; exempt from 45 day return window noted in 3.1. 9.8 If a key is found to be miscut, it will be processed under the ChipKey Re-blade Program.
