01. THINK THROWBACK - SUPPLIER’S BEACH DAY Earlier this summer, Think Furniture swapped meeting rooms for sea views and celebrated Supplier Day in true British style – with a refreshing day on Margate beach. It was an event meant to strip away formality, allowing our valued suppliers to relax, reconnect, and enjoy some well-deserved sunshine.
The setup was straightforward but ideal: two gazebos providing shade from the midday sun, plenty of cool drinks and light snacks, and the gentle sound of waves creating a holiday-like atmosphere instead of a typical office event. The vibe was relaxed, free- spirited, and filled with that unmistakable oceanic charm. And of course, no day at the beach would be complete without a bit of friendly rivalry. A game of rounders quickly became a highlight, filled with laughter, competition, and playful debates over

who actually won. Between rounds, spontaneous games broke out again, proving that sometimes the best way to connect is through a bit of friendly competition. As the afternoon progressed, the team gathered once more for a seaside tradition: hot, steaming fish and chips from the local chippy, enjoyed right there on the promenade. But the day didn't end with the last bite; spirits were high, and the celebrations spilt over into the evening with a pint in town. Looking back, the day at Margate beach was more than a simple change of scenery. It was a reminder that successful partnerships are built not only in meeting rooms but also in shared moments, laughter, and a touch of sand.
“Partnerships are at the heart of everything we do at Think Furniture. Our suppliers are more than just part of the process—they’re part of the story. This year, we wanted to celebrate that by stepping outside the office and creating space for genuine connection. What better setting than
the seaside?” – Tony King, Director

03. Every office needs a breakout space, a solace nook where employees can relax, recharge, and enjoy a much needed break from work.

Solo spaces are important. Designed to give employees the personal space they might need, be it for private calls, or simply some quiet from the office noise. They should be an indispensable part of the office. Seating is very important to ensure full relaxation. It allows employees to settle in for an informal break, attend an informal meeting, or find a spot to work outside their cubicle. With their capacity to support multiple postures and activities, they allow the breakout room to be truly versatile and inviting. Tables are essential in creating a sense of connection and collaboration. The availability of their space helps convert the breakout area into a hub of relaxation and interaction. Soft lighting provides a calming and welcoming atmosphere. Softer lights dispel the severity of typical office lighting, allowing workers to feel more relaxed It creates a sense of comfort that makes the breakout area truly restorative.

To create a relaxed atmosphere, a blue, cream, and oak wood colour scheme was chosen to establish a clear difference from the work zone but still subdued and calming.
Shelving adds function and character to the breakout space. It provides an area for books, plants, and ornaments that make the space feel homey and personal. Greenery is a key method of activating the breakout space. Plants introduce warmth and freshness, calming the atmosphere as a whole while improving air quality and welfare. They create a natural connection that relaxes employees and renews them for when they are back at the desk. Lounges and couches bring a sense of comfort to the breakout space. They invite employees to unwind, stretch out, or gather for informal conversations. By offering a softer alternative to task seating, they encourage more comfortable breaks that helps employees to recharge. Acoustic planning and partition screens should be considered to maintain the breakout area usable and cozy. Screens provide a sense of separation without enclosure, delivering privacy without the feeling of being closed off. Enhanced acoustics enable background sound to be muffled, discussions to be more pleasant, and quiet moments to be genuinely rejuvenating.

CEPI - Case Study 07
CEPI
Step into CEPI’s modern, light-filled offices—created through a partnership between Think Furniture and Flokk—where design, sustainability, and ergonomics shape a new way for a global organisation to work.
08
Vision Meets Function CEPI needed more than furniture; they needed a workspace that supports rapid vaccine development, focused work, and collaborative thinking. Their priorities included: Ergonomics & Well-being: Comfortable, posture-supportive solutions for long workdays. Flexibility & Collaboration : Spaces that shift easily between teamwork and individual focus. Environmental Responsibility : Durable, sustainable materials aligned with CEPI’s values. Cohesive Aesthetics : Modern furnishings that complement bright, contemporary interiors. The result is a flexible, purpose-built environment where every piece of furniture—and every quiet corner—supports CEPI’s mission.

05. NaughtOne is an established British furniture brand that works on thoughtfully designed pieces, both for commercial and residential use. This approach is all about finding the right balance between aesthetics and technology so that the pieces of furniture are able to perform well while having their recognisable identity.
13
The design philosophy is deliberate simplicity. The furniture is designed to address real needs, such as durability in a heavy-use space, comfort over a long period, and adaptability with ever- changing interior designs. Each product is preceded by market research, the changing nature of the working and hospitality environments, and feedback from clients and specifiers. Research is transformed into concepts by sketching, modelling, and collaboration between designers and the technical teams of NaughtOne. Manufacturing efficiency, materials, sustainability, and product life cycle issues are incorporated from inception. Designs are developed through prototypes at NaughtOne’s UK-based manufacturing facility, testing comfort, proportion, and structural integrity. Designs evolve through iterative development, making products more usable and reducing material wastage. Finalised products are manufactured with precision and ease, with disassembly, possible repair, and ultimately an extended life cycle. Design development is ongoing with feedback on finished products. Sustainability is embedded within NaughtOne through a partnership developed with the Carbon Literacy Project . All associates are carbon literate, and it is incorporated within their induction program. Such a common language shapes design, procurement, and production, along with behaviours.
14 While NaughtOne integrates research-driven design, collaboration, and a focus on sustainability, it also strives to produce furniture and products that are durable, relevant, and sustainable.

SUSTAINABILITY Fritz Hansen ReNEW: Simplicity in Sustainability 07.
In the furniture industry, only a few names carry the weight of Fritz Hansen. For more than 150 years, the Danish company has stood for craftsmanship and timeless beauty. Today, in an era where sustainability is what's next, Fritz Hansen proves that true design icons needn't evolve, they've always been sustainable.
18
19
The secret is in the materials. Right from the start, Fritz Hansen has employed carefully chosen, long-lasting materials that will endure decades and age beautifully over time. Longevity isn't a feature of their furniture, it's the nature itself. After all, what is greener than a chair that will outlast generations? Fritz Hansen accomplishes even more with ReNEW. The company introduces a circular design philosophy—Repair, Refurbish, Recraft so that nothing is disposed unnecessarily. Repair : Making Icons Last Repair is revolutionary. With ReNEW, spare parts for designs dating back to 1968 are offered. This serves as an evidence that one fault does not mean the end of a product but a new start with memories and traditions attached to it. Refurbish: Reviving and Minimising Footprint Others need more than a fix-it. Refurbish brings back pieces like Arne Jacobsen's 1955 shell chairs, maintaining original integrity with a reduced climate footprint. Customers even receive a tailored CO ₂ calculation, envisioning the eco-benefit of refurbishment versus new acquisition. A choice for heritage and the world. Recraft : Classics, Ready to Begin Again For the design lovers who simply cannot wait for sustainability, Recraft offers a personally curated selection of certified, reworked originals. Each one, elegantly remade, is a circular design in a nutshell: timeless classics waiting to be told another story. A Circular Blueprint for Design Repair, Refurbish, Recraft, together they create not just services, but a philosophy. Fritz Hansen has created a method where sustainability is inherent in design. It's not about compromise, but about tribute to longevity, respect for heritage, and appreciation for what already exits. In a world that is enamoured with disposables, Fritz Hansen proves the opposite is possible. With ReNEW, they’ve written a blueprint for the future of design— circular, responsible, and timeless.
