And they never have. Some of the participants have gone on to college while other chose employment – but they all continue to sew. They’ve even been joined by other women in the recovery community who bring a wealth of knowledge about sewing and recovery. At the UMADAOPs of Ohio 2016 State Conference the seamstresses of the Black Butterflies Apparel Company will showcase their stuff during lunches. If you can imagine looking through the veil of time, you will see grandma smiling and humming, “You can’t get no better days unless you make it through the night ….” Congratulations to the Black Butterflies: Ms. Jackie, Ms. Donna, Ms. Shambrey, Ms. Carolyn, Ms. Monica, Ms. Kim, Ms. Donna, Ms. Kim and Ms. Kim.
