MEET THE AUTHOR Jamie Hector is a Brooklyn- born actor who graduated from CUNY and studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. He is best known for his roles in film and television, including The Wire, Bosch, Queen of the South, and We Own This City . However, one of Jamie’s favorite roles is as the founder of Moving Mountains Inc., a nonprofit organization that gives underserved children the opportunity to study the arts free of charge.

Recent research reveals that effective instruction hinges on the integration of academic skills with student well- being. Many of our resources, such as Chloé Wonders, help teachers weave well-being into structured literacy instruction so every student can reach their full potential—in school and in life
