THE SKIN
The skin composition has 3 layers
THE EPIDERMIS : is outermost layer of skin.
THE DERMIS : is the thick layer of tissue below the epidermis that forms the true skin
THE HYPODERMIS : is the innermost layer of the skin

This is the layer we can see, the layer where damage is visible, and the layer skincare makes first contact with, and the layer that shows results.
The five layers of the epidermis are:
STRATUM CORNEUM the outer layer of the epidermis, consisting mainly of dead or peeling cells. STRATUM LUCIDUM (Latin for clear layer) thin, clear layer of dead skin cells in the epidermis named for its translucent appearance under a microscope. It is readily visible by light microscopy only in areas of thick skin, which are found on the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet. STRATUM GRANULOSUM (or Granular Layer) thin layer of cells in the epidermis. Keratinocytes migrating from the underlying stratum spinosum become known as granular cells in this layer. STRATUM SPINOSUM (or Spinous Layer/ Prickle Cell Layer) layer of the epidermis found between the stratum granulosum and stratum basale. STRATUM BASALE (Basal Layer, or referred to as Stratum Germinativum) deepest layer of the five layers of the epidermis. The stratum basale is a continuous layer of cells. BASEMENT MEMBRANE is a specialized structure localized between the epidermis and the dermis. Also called basal lamina, it is a thin, delicate membrane of protein fibers and glycosaminoglycans separating an epithelium from underlying tissue.
THE EPIDERMIS
Is the thick layer of tissue below the epidermis that forms the true skin, containing blood capillaries, nerve endings, sweat glands, hair follicles and other structures. This is layer contains collagen and elastin - the proteins that make skin strong, resilient, and flexible.
The two layers of the dermis are:
PAPILLARY LAYER is the uppermost layer of the dermis. It intertwines with the ridges of the epidermis and is composed of fine and loosely arranged collagen fibers. RECTICULAR LAYER is the lower layer of the dermis, found under the papillary dermis, composed of dense irregular connective tissue featuring densely packed collagen fibers. It is the primary location of dermal elastic fibers. Mesotherapy treatments work in the dermis layer by stimulating collagen and elastin production, speeding up blood circulation, and helping to flush out free radicals and other toxins.

Is the innermost layer of the skin. It invaginates into the dermis and is attached to the latter, immediately above it, by collagen and elastin fibres. It is essentially composed of a type of cell specialized in accumulating and storing fats, known as adipocytes.
This is not present in eyelids, genitals, nipples and shins. It also acts as a insulation layer to conserve body heat.

FITZPATRICK SCALE
The Fitzpatrick scale is a numerical classification scheme for human skin color. This was developed in 1975 to estimate the response of different types of skin to Ultraviolet (UV) Light. SKIN TYPE I Pale, porcelain or ivory. Skin burns very easily and does not tan. Likely to have light blonde or red hair (Celebrity; Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore)
SKIN TYPE II Fair, beige or cream. Skin will usually burn in the sun and has difficulty tanning (Celebrity; Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie)
SKIN TYPE III Light brown, golden or olive. Skin will sometimes burn and will tan gradually (Celebrity; Jennifer Aniston, Paris Hilton)
SKIN TYPE IV Caramel or medium brown. Skin will tan easily and rarely burn (Celebrity; Jessica Alba, J Lo)
SKIN TYPE V Bronze or rich brown. Skin will tan without burning (Celebrity; Beyonce, Halle Berry)
SKIN TYPE VI Mahogany or dark brown. Skin never burns and will tan very quickly (Celebrity; Tyra Banks, Oprah)

WHAT IS MESOTHERAPHY
MESOTHERAPY AKA NANONEEDLING
Mesotherapy was developed in 1952. It's a French rejuvenation technique that uses micro injections of vitamins, enzymes, antioxidants, and plant extracts to rejuvenate and tighten skin, improve hair quality, as well as remove excess fat. It is the process in which small amounts of hyaluronic acid, multivitamins, amino acids, are micro channeled into the skin to stimulate collagen and improve hydration, tone, and texture of the skin. Mesotherapy can restore a youthful glow, improve tone and elasticity, reduce superficial lines and wrinkles and protect your skin from premature aging.
Can mesotherapy go wrong? The only risk is skin being irritated. Extremely rare.

MICRONEEDLING DIFFERENCE
Microneedling devices such as Derma Pen (5K) – U225 Meso Gun – Fractora with Radio frequency. These machines improve skin quality, texture, firmness to produce collagen production. Minimizes scars, reduce pore size and stretch marks. Micro needling goes to the deep second layer of skin the deep dermis.
Nanoneedling (mesotherapy) punctures the first layer of the skin (epidermis).
For optimal results with nano needling is 3-15 times. Vs Micro needling is 3-4 times a year - any more could create inflammation and hyperpigmentation in the skin.
WHAT IS BETTER MESOTHERAPY OR MICRONEEDLING?
MESOTHERAPY VS MICRONEEDLING
Mesotherapy can help your skin cells be healthier and can help with fine superficial wrinkles. BENEFITS: No downtime, no skin-numbing, gentler to the skin. Intervals between Mesotherapy sessions is 2 weeks (ideally 1 week). Microneedling is effective for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles overall. DOWNSIDE: The procedure takes longer as it requires numbing the skin and leads to prolonged swelling, redness, or discomfort. It is also far more expensive.
DERMA ROLLER VS DIGITAL CONTROLLED TOOL
DERMA ROLLER
With a Derma Roller there is little to no control of power of the pressure applied by hand. Depth is from 0.15 to 3mm.
Mesotherapy pins depth are from 0.15 mm to 0.2 mm.
Micro needling needles depths are from 0.25 to 3mm.
CARTRIDGES PINS
The chip is made with pyramid like pins that are smaller than a strand of hair. These small punctures in the skin create an activation response that is the same responses for wound healing. Nano1 is a cartridge made up of crystal silicone 0.15mm pins size 3x3mm square and has 100pins. Why crystal silicone? Because silicone tipped are gentler on the skin.
Nano2 is cartridge made up of stainless steel 8mm size round, length 0.15mm and consists of 118 pins.
The max skin depth reach is 0.15mm.
The micro pins stimulate the skin in a controlled manner, stimulating collagen and elastin. It is designed to exfoliate the skin and stimulate cell turnover, rather than to penetrate deep into the dermis as micro needling does.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
BEFORE
Nano-channels created during the stimulation, immediately activate divisions of skin cells for self- regenerating in stimulated zones. Nano-channels in the skin support absorption of active components from the meso serums by skin cells created during new divisions. Example : Hot tub. This will create a stimuli of new cells = results in acceleration of collagen production. It breaks the hardened collagen. New collagen starts to move upwards towards skin surface, and pushes out fine lines and wrinkles improving skin topically.

THE MST PEN
The MST Pen micro pins activate the skin in a controlled and even manner stimulating collagen and elastin production.
