PROCLAIMING ISRAEL'S MESSIAH In view o f the' g rea t events in Palestine which have attracted w orldw ide attention , are you burdened to p ra y fo r G od s ancient people Israel?

J OHN the Baptist came in the spirit of Elijah, proclaim ing Christ: “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” Later Andrew told his brother Peter: “We have found the Messias, which is ,

and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.” The time had now come when the question was put to her: Would she accept our Lord Jesus as her personal Saviour and Messiah? We could discern from her face the_ solemn desire in her heart to know our blessed Lord and, as we.all knelt in prayer before the liv ing God, she passed from darkness into light, as indeed we all sensed that the Spirit of God had worked in her heart. Recently a number of conversions took place as we conducted our street meetings in the busiest section of the heart of. Hollywood, famed for the moving picture industry. God has given us the privilege of seeing He brew families accept our blessed Lord in their very homes, as we carry on our visitation in their neighbor hoods. Jewish people have been given the Gospel in hospitals, and a number have confessed our Lord as Saviour. Office buildings and business places are visited, and quite often we are. permitted to pray for these people amidst their business activity. We always leave Gospels, Testaments, tracts and Bibles in the Hebrew, Yiddish and English languages. Each Sunday at 2:00 p.m.'we broad cast over KFOX, and a large number of Jewish people are reached through this ministry. Recently we completed a number of records in the Jewish language, which will be used in 30-minute radio programs for broadcasting around the world. The Bible Institute of Los Angeles, of which our Jewish Department is a branch, trains young men and women of all nationalities to be missionaries throughout the whole world, but very little encouragement by the “Body of Christ”—the believers—is given Jewish young men and women to prepare themselves to minister among God’s ancient people, Israel. Thus, we covet your prayers that God will make it possible for Jewish young people to come as students for the ministry of Jewish Evangelism. It costs $125.00 to train a student each year. How we would like to see a goodly number of Jewish students come and receive instruction and preparation as Jewish missionaries! May God give you guidance in this matter. If you are interested, please write, and we will send you further information regarding our work, and the Christian literature we use to help Jewish people to a knowledge of our blessed Lord Jesus as Saviour.

Christ.” And again Philip told Nathanael: “We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write.” Oh, how we pray that all of the Jewish people today would proclaim our blessed Lord Jesus as their Saviour! The following are some experiences with Jewish people in our missionary work. A Jewish woman desiring to know the way of salvation was brought to our office. Immediately we pre sented God’s t r u t h from the living Word and, as seed was being sown in her heart, she told us the following incident:

“I had a dream in which I saw a lofty mountain, from which descended an awe-inspiring figure wrapped in a cloak, and I heard these words come from this figure: ‘I am Jesus’.” As a rule we are very careful and step softly on the ground of dreams and visions, but these incidents have happened so many times among our Jewish people, that somehow we think of Joel, chapter 2, which records some happenings prior to the second coming of our Lord. Starting with verse 28, we read the following: “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants
